Sleight of Blog: Home of the old fart and the young tart

American Joey Chestnut can eat 68 . In only 10 minutes. That makes him the new world record holder. The competition was shown live on sports channel ESPN and has become a tradition on Independence Day.

Chestnut took home 20,000 dollars and probably a severe stomach ache.

Whenever I read about this sort of contest, I ask myself two things.
First of all, why would you eat 68 hotdogs? I know, money is always nice but still, this is eating to the point of sickness. And the second thing I ask myself: Could I make a record? I mean any kind of record.

Perhaps blogging for a total of 68 hours non-stop?

It’s yet another beautiful sunny morning here in West Jutland, Denmark. I woke up at 7.30 but can’t really get started with anything. It’s a lazy morning :-)

I have gotten some nice comments on my videos on Facebook and that has fuelled my passion even more to do videos. I’d really encourage everybody to do it; it doesn’t matter whether you’re a total amateur – what do you think I am? It’s just so much fun to do.

My son is asleep in the other room right now. He woke up 15 mins ago, asked for his cover that had fallen on the floor and after a kiss from his mom (me..haha), he went right back to sleep. Honestly guys, sometimes I can just stand there and look at him and feel so blessed. You see, when my son sleeps, he transforms into that baby he was in the hospital. Even his beautiful big boy face that he has during the day turns into that gorgeous baby face he had right after birth. He even sleeps in the same position with his hands wrapped together under his cheek. Dear God, words can’t express..but thank You for making him mine.

Today we’re having a big water fight: Me, my son plus my parents. I intend to win. I’ll keep you posted
